Habit Tracker
Tick off habits day by day, see a weekly grid and follow your current streak. Saved in your browser.
A streak counts consecutive days ending today (or yesterday, if you have not ticked today yet). Data is saved in this browser only.
Add the habits you want to build, then tick each day you do them. The grid shows seven days at a time and each habit has a running streak, so a missed day is easy to spot.
Habits and history are stored in this browser only. There is no account, reminder or upload.
How habit tracker works
Add a habit by name, for example “Walk for 20 minutes”. Each row shows the last seven days ending today. Tick a box to record that you did the habit that day. Future days are disabled, and you can go back to earlier weeks with the arrow buttons to fill in a day you forgot.
The streak counts consecutive ticked days ending today. If you have not ticked today yet, it counts back from yesterday, so your streak is not shown as broken before the day is over. A single missed day resets it to zero.
You can track up to 30 habits. Deleting a habit also deletes its history, and the tool asks you to confirm first.
Worked example: reading five days out of seven
You add “Read 20 minutes” and tick Monday to Friday. On Friday the streak reads 5 days.
If you skip Saturday and check on Sunday, the streak reads 0 until you tick Sunday, because the run of consecutive days is broken. Ticking Sunday starts a new streak at 1.
When to use this tool
- Building one small routine, such as stretching or writing a journal line.
- Seeing at a glance which days a habit tends to slip.
- Keeping a simple record for a challenge, such as a 30-day exercise streak.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Starting with too many habits at once. Two or three is easier to sustain.
- Making habits too big to complete on a bad day. A smaller version keeps the streak alive.
- Treating one missed day as failure. The record helps you restart, which matters more than perfection.
