To-Do List
A simple task list that saves in your browser. Add, tick off, filter and clear tasks with no account.
Loading…
Your list is saved in this browser only. It does not sync between devices, and clearing site data will remove it.
This is a deliberately plain task list: type a task, press Enter, tick it off when it is done. There are no accounts, projects or notifications to manage.
Your list is saved in this browser, so it is still there when you come back on the same device. It is not uploaded anywhere, which also means it does not sync to your phone or another computer.
How to-do list works
Type a task in the box and press Enter or choose Add. New tasks appear at the top. Tick the box to mark a task done, and use the filter to show all tasks, only those still to do, or only those finished.
Clear completed removes every ticked task at once. Delete all asks for confirmation before wiping the list. The Copy button copies the list as plain text with [ ] and [x] markers, ready to paste into a note or message.
The list holds up to 500 tasks of 200 characters each. Clearing your browser’s site data, or using a private window, will remove the saved list.
Worked example: a short daily list
Add three tasks: “Send invoice”, “Book dentist” and “Reply to landlord”. Tick “Send invoice” and the counter changes from 3 tasks left to 2.
Choose the To do filter to see only the two open tasks, then Clear completed to remove the finished one.
When to use this tool
- Planning the day in the morning with three to five concrete tasks.
- A quick shopping or packing checklist.
- Capturing follow-ups during a meeting, then copying them into an email.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Writing vague tasks such as “work on report”. “Draft the summary section” is easier to start and finish.
- Letting the list grow without pruning it. Clear finished items and delete what no longer matters.
- Storing anything important only in a browser. Copy lists you cannot afford to lose.
Frequently asked questions
- Where is my list stored?
- In your browser’s local storage on this device. It is not sent to us or anyone else.
- Why did my list disappear?
- Clearing site data, using a private or incognito window, or switching browsers or devices will show an empty list, because the data lives only in one browser profile.
- Can I use it on my phone and computer?
- You can open the page on both, but each device has its own separate list. Use the Copy button to move a list between them.
- Is there a limit on tasks?
- The list keeps up to 500 tasks, each up to 200 characters.
